Japanese Practice — Genki I & II
Tokidoki is a free, no-login collection of Japanese practice exercises built around
the Genki textbook series. Every exercise is scheduled with
spaced repetition (SRS) so you review what you need most, not what
you already know.
Work through chapters 3–23 of Genki I and II, covering masu-form, て-form, ta-form,
nai-form, tai-form, potential, volitional, passive, causative, ba-conditional,
causative-passive, and more — for both godan (u-verb) and ichidan (ru-verb) patterns,
plus the irregular verbs する and くる.
Practise い-adjective and な-adjective conjugations including present, negative, past,
past-negative, te-form, and adverb forms, chapter by chapter.
Mix and match any combination of verbs, adjectives, and conjugation forms into a
custom practice session. Useful for targeting weak spots or reviewing before a test.
Translate full Japanese sentences taken from Genki chapters 3–12. Toggle between
Japanese-to-English and English-to-Japanese modes, with optional furigana readings
above kanji.
Learn the kana with a hands-on drawing drill: see a romaji prompt, draw the matching
hiragana or katakana character by hand, then reveal the answer to check yourself.
Covers the full gojuon, dakuten/handakuten, and yōon combinations for both scripts.
