Japanese Conjugation Practice — Genki I & II
Tokidoki is a free, no-login flashcard app for practising Japanese verb and adjective
conjugations from the Genki textbook series. Cards are scheduled with
spaced repetition (SRS) so you review what you need most, not what
you already know.
Verb conjugation drills
Work through chapters 3–23 of Genki I and II. Each chapter introduces the conjugation
forms taught in that unit — starting with the masu-form and
masu-negative, then adding te-form,
ta-form, nai-form, dictionary form,
tai-form, potential, volitional,
passive, causative, ba-conditional,
and causative-passive. Both godan (u-verb) and ichidan (ru-verb)
conjugation patterns are covered, along with the irregular verbs する and くる.
Adjective conjugation drills
Practise i-adjective and na-adjective conjugations
including present, negative, past, past-negative, te-form, and adverb forms.
Chapters span the adjective grammar introduced across both Genki volumes.
Build Your Own session
Mix and match any combination of verbs, adjectives, and conjugation forms into a
custom practice session. Useful for targeting weak spots or reviewing before a test.
Sentence translation practice
Translate full Japanese sentences taken from Genki chapters 3–12. Toggle between
Japanese-to-English and English-to-Japanese modes, with optional furigana readings
above kanji.
